Dressing Up Is Back

“Must be tough because people aren’t wearing suits right?”

This is the most common question to a bespoke tailor from people who have their head buried in the sand these days and really makes my eyes roll.

Nevermind the fact that we make a LOT of smart casual clothing, the suit is making a comeback (TBH it never actually really went away).

Men who are fed up with trying to navigate their way through the complexities of smart casual are wearing suits again. Those who want to distinguish themselves from their sloppy-looking peers and competitors. Those who take pride in how they present themselves. Go-getters, leaders, the ones who are now saying “enough with this casual bullshxx, we need to get back to serious business and look like serious, competent people”.

These types of gentlemen and more are searching for a bespoke suit tailor to help them get back to looking like a confident, successful, professional person.

“The “dress for your day” code has gone too far”, many of my clients in leadership are telling me.

I tell them that’s not necessarily their teams’ fault, when you don’t set expectations and let the kids do their own thing, you’ve got to expect it’ll end up in a complete mess.

On a positive note it does make it much easier for leaders to spot the rising stars, the ones where energies need to be focused.

Elegance is back folks - like it or not.

Those that don’t probably aren’t reading this anyway.

Put those Covid-era joggers away and start looking like a person who means business again, because you don’t want to look worse than your competition.

Do you?
